Metal Treaters Inc. has the longest continuous ownership in the metal treating industry serving Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. Although MTI began as a tool & die heat treater, the company now offers full service capabilities that include: Vacuum Processing of the Tool Steels, Induction, Carburizing, and Neutral Hardening. Job Summary: Assist furnace operator as required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble furnace loads as instructed.
- Unpack and repack parts as instructed.
- Load and unload parts from furnaces & ovens.
- Log furnace jobs in computer.
- Job set up
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Assists Supervisor in training functions as directed.
- Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.
- Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.
- Participates in company sponsored training as required.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Additional Responsibilities: Transporting Parts by forklift. Forklift training provided.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Forklift experience preferred.
Working Conditions: Working on the shop floor where there is dirt, dust, oil, & processing chemicals. Temperature ranges from hot in the summer to cool in the winter.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Considerable amount of walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Safety Shoes required.
Job Status: Full-time with benefits.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
