Job Summary :
The primary purpose of this position is to develop and execute territory and account strategies to drive revenue growth in defined target markets / customers by identifying and securing new business opportunities. This position will focus on building and keeping a pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales and growth targets, as well as developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships in key strategic accounts.
Responsibilities :
- Grow revenue of a customer base through proactive sales activities
- Develop long lasting relationships with key decision makers
- Achieve and exceed set revenue goals
- Ability to collaboratively work with various departments
- Proven sales track record in sheet metal manufacturing or related field
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal and external employees / customers
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
- Promotes products and services through sales presentations, trade shows and customer visits.
- Quotes prices, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Prepares and submits reports of weekly activity report, results and business expenses.
- Handles customer issues and concerns, referring more complex technical issues to management.
- Responsible for the quality and adequacy of own work.
Position Requirements
Knowledge and Skills :
Strong interpersonal skills, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively, both written and verbal.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Profit Key
Cost estimating and quoting.
Ability to conceptualize and solved complex problems.
Education and or Experience :
BA or BS in Business or equivalent plus 1-3 years sales experience.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and electromechanical assembly a must.
Compensation :
Salary plus commission
