JOB TITLE: Yard Laborer/Auto Dismantler
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager.
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Skyway Auto Parts (637 Tifft Street Buffalo, NY 14220)
HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturdays as needed.
COMPENSATION: $16-18/hr, based on experience & skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean and prepare the job site and yard in a tidy and safe manner.
Remove fluids such as gas or oil from vehicles.
Remove tires from vehicles.
Use a variety of tools and machines: blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School degree or equivalent preferred.
Being able to operate bobcats, forklifts, and loaders is a plus.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
Knowledge of the various ferrous and non-ferrous metals is a plus.
Quick learner who can follow directions.
Good communication skills.
Team player.
Organized, consistent, and good at multitasking.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work.
