Job Title: Production Technician/Machine Operator

Reports to: Production Manager

Job Summary: Is a warehouse-based position with responsibility to occasionally work on location job site and transport equipment to and from the job site.

Essential Functions:

· After completing appropriate training, operate all machinery required following safety guidelines: machinery can include but not limited to roll formers, trim folder, slitter, shears, and forklifts as assigned.

· Loading and unloading products onto flatbed trucks as needed.

· Complete quality checks as needed to provide accurate, damage-free products.

· Once training is complete, must have the ability to operate a forklift and yard truck as needed.

· Must follow all plant safety procedures and use all applicable personal protection equipment (PPE) as required.

· Clean the work area at the end of each shift. This includes sweeping the floor, placing boards in the proper storage area, and dumping trash.

· Cross-train as directed and be willing and able to work at any position in the manufacturing process, on an as-needed basis.

· Complete all other tasks as required or assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or upper management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Ability to read tape measures, understand basic mathematical calculations and use a calculator.

· Crane and forklift skills are preferred.

· Must be able to work overtime hours as required.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

· Must be able to work outside on the shipping yard as needed.

· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands/Working Conditions: The person in this position must be able to lift 60 pounds or more. They must be able to adjust their body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time. This position will require eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate heavy machinery. While in and around the manufacturing facility or on MetalMax property, company safety requirements must be closely followed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
