About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as an Alternate Teaching Parent. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth who require specialized care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Teaching Parents to develop and implement individualized plans of care that address the unique needs and goals of each youth.
- Provide direct care and supervision to youth, including assistance with daily living tasks, transportation, and activities.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as trauma-informed care, crisis management, and cultural competence.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of youth progress, including medical records, behavioral notes, and incident reports.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a safe and supportive living environment that promotes healthy relationships and behaviors among youth.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services or education preferred, but high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children or other populations with special needs is highly desirable.
- Ability to take advantage of extensive training and apply it to the implementation of a comprehensive program of care for children.
- Possess or able to obtain a valid Arkansas Driver's License and be insurable to operate company vehicles.
- Physically capable of restraining youth if necessary, performing various maintenance tasks, and sitting/standing for long periods of time.
