As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Level II, you will perform and oversee complex medical laboratory tests critical for disease diagnosis and treatment. You will be accountable for ensuring accurate test results, maintaining sophisticated instruments, and upholding quality control and assurance protocols.
Key Responsibilities :
- Independently process and test specimens, including moderate and high complexity testing.
- Analyze test results with an understanding of pathological processes and correlate disease states with results.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
- Demonstrate proactive problem-solving by identifying issues and taking appropriate actions while knowing when to seek guidance.
- Implement quality control processes, including running controls, evaluating data, documenting findings, and initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate any relevant quality control information to supervisory staff.
- Participate in reviewing, writing, or modifying departmental procedures or policies.
- Commit to professional development through cross-training in various departmental functions to enhance flexible staffing capabilities.
