The IAM manager position is an advanced role requiring leadership and team management skills, along with technical expertise. The IAM manager leads a team of individuals in architecture, engineering, administration and governance tasked with ensuring IAM services are applied to corporate-managed assets as well as vendors and other third-party entities. The role requires ensuring that a large, multi-faceted IAM program is in place governing provisioning, access, single sign-on (SSO), directory services and technical integrations, as well as supporting behavioral analytics.
The ideal candidate is technical and possesses at least five years’ experience in technology and security administration across large heterogeneous networks, including third-party entities. Additionally, as a senior member of the team, the role requires leadership skills to coach and mentor less experienced staffers. The IAM manager is expected to manage the team and execute the security strategy as directed by the CISO. Consequently, the IAM manager must identify and effectively communicate an actionable workload for team members that adheres to business initiatives – balancing business risk and IAM security best practices. The IAM manager is a subject matter expert for colleagues and is expected to deliver on line-of-business expectations.

What You Will Do
- Manage, lead, and mentor Identity and Access Management team.
- Provide oversight and leadership of key strategies related to IAM.
- Work with stakeholders in designing and implementing IAM solutions and identify, assess, analyze, and manage risks and control gaps associated with IAM.
- Research and understand industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to IAM and apply that knowledge to recommend IAM-related process improvements.
- Develop and provide metrics and reporting related to IAM to ensure the quality of the IAM processes are meeting business objectives.
- Advise and assist the Information Security Officer on specific high-impact issues and projects when requested, including developing and managing budget as it relates to IAM.

- Advanced knowledge of process improvement, and have ability to review processes and using judgment and experience to recommend new and innovative processes.
- Thorough understanding of modern identity and access management industry trends and best practices and ability to use industry tools to develop and manage effective processes.
- Advanced knowledge of current cybersecurity technologies and practices and their relationship to IAM
- Advanced understanding of identity vs. authentication vs. access control elements and how they work together
- Advanced knowledge of multiple authentication techniques
- Advanced knowledge of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model and its relationship to IAM
- Advanced knowledge and experience managing modern tools such as IAM systems, privileged account management, etc.
- Advanced risk management knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate risk to stakeholders
- Advanced ability to use industry tools to develop and manage effective processes.
- Ability to manage time and tasks in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with end users, vendors, and management effectively and ability to document procedures and processes.
- Good situational awareness, problem solving skills, and an ability to lead and supervise complex people, process, and technology ideas, solutions, and recommendations across technical and non-technical management teams, vendors, partners, and staff.
- Ability to manage several broad scoped projects at one time.

- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
