MIM’s Insurance Asset Management group is responsible for the overall portfolio management of the MetLife’s General Account Assets ($420B AUM) and supports MIM’s Insurance Asset Management business. MIM has unaffiliated insurance investors globally with approximately $189 B in AUM invested across all MIM strategies. The Insurance Asset Management group provides value added capabilities including Market strategy and research, Capital Markets investment products as well as strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio optimization, relative value investment strategies and other insurance advisory and customized insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Insurance Asset Management (IAM) team to implement tactical and strategic asset allocation incorporating ALM driven investment strategies that help achieve earnings, growth and risk management objectives
- Work with the client and asset sectors to align portfolios to evolving market conditions within defined parameters
- Support MIM Advisory team and Institutional Client Group (ICG) in providing portfolio solutions and investment strategy for third party insurance clients – assist in providing technical and quantitative analysis to support portfolio optimization within defined objectives
- Build tools leveraging internal resources including BlackRock, Excel, and optimization/simulation models to analyze portfolio positioning and to support scenario impact analysis
- Increase understanding of all the asset sectors that IAM invests in on behalf of the General Account
- Support IAM in delivering general account quarterly asset allocation and annual investment income targets
- Develop and implement periodic portfolio manager risk reports to support client reporting,
- Work on ad hoc reporting and support client portfolio analyses requests
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships and work in a team environment
- Strong quantitative skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills
