Job: Mold Machine Operator Department: Fabrication
Reporting to: Department Manager Hours: M-F 8:00am to 4:30pm
General Job Description:
We are looking for skilled and motivated Machine Operators to operate roll formers. The ideal candidates will have experience in operating computer-controlled roll forming machines to shape metal according to the cutlist and instructions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery following prints and specifications.
- Configure and operate computer-controlled roll forming machines.
- Manufacture the specified quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances
- Utilize precision tools to measure finished parts, ensuring compliance with functional, quality, and cosmetic requirements
- Keep records of produced units, including details of any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces
- Conduct equipment inspections before use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Other Duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate a forklift a plus
- Proficient in following directions and working effectively in a team
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation
- Quick grasp of production equipment operation or aptitude for rapid learning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Preferred, 2 years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing
- Visual acuity necessary for reading instructions, operating machinery, and inspecting produced parts
Working Conditions:
- Production Environment not climate controlled. Ability to work in a consistent and safe manner.
- Ability to lift an estimated 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
- Ability to quickly move your hands, arms, or fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
- Balance and flexibility, with an ability to safely navigate over and around equipment and tools
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, stooping and lifting
