Capability Unit
Metrea Advanced Signals (MAS) specializes in signal classification, direction finding, advanced geolocation techniques, and waveform development including waveforms for MANET and LPI/LPD applications. MAS also develops special purpose radios for government customers and licenses DF and geolocation solutions to multiple OEMs.
Position Summary
The Test and Evaluation Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing field events focused on testing hardware prototypes and early-stage operational systems. This position requires the identification of locations that are suitable for the observation and assessment of specified system performance features. Locations may be located on or near government installations, public land, and private property. Coordination for access to test locations is also a responsibility assigned to this position. Logistical coordination to ensure that all required personnel and equipment are present for scheduled test events is a performance requirement for this role. Each event will be supported with documentation that describes the relevant test procedures, evaluation metrics, recommendations for follow-on actions, and commentary related to enterprise value and strategic context. Analysis of operational value and user experience assessment related to test objectives will also be provided by individuals assuming this position. Ensuring that test and evaluation procedures are prepared to address operational scenarios related to conventional military, special operations, and non-standard military profiles is an expectation for this position.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering roadmaps to identify test and evaluation milestones
- Design, plan, organize, and execute field test and evaluation events
- Provide technical assessments of radio assets and RF sensor performance
- Provide expert input to design and evaluation tasks for CANO asset development tasks
- Fly specified drones as a licensed operator in support of test and evaluation events
- Provide user level maintenance for hardware and software applications related to any equipment or system associated with designated test and evaluation events

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. This is an exempt position. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.
Work Location
Hybrid with work locations including Victor, NY Annapolis Junction, MD, and remote.
Work Environment
This job operates in both office and field settings. Field environments may require exposure to inclement weather.
