Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate land opportunities for development, ensuring alignment with market trends and company growth objectives.
- Negotiate terms of acquisition with property owners, real estate brokers, attorneys, and developers.
- Conduct due diligence on land purchases, including zoning reviews, regulatory compliance, and feasibility assessments.
- Work with municipal agencies, engineers, and planners to facilitate project approvals and site development.
- Oversee the acquisition process from initial identification through final closing, managing timelines and risk factors.
- Maintain and expand relationships with key industry stakeholders, including landowners, brokers, and local government officials.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, real estate, construction management, business, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- At least three years of experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or project management
- Strong understanding of local land use codes, zoning regulations, and market dynamics
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze financials, market research, and feasibility reports to support acquisition decisions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
