Metrics is seeking a highly experienced Information Systems Acquisition Specialist to support a federal agency’s Center for Information Technology. This role involves leading IT procurement efforts, optimizing acquisition and distribution strategies, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software management, procurement, and IT acquisitions , with the ability to manage contracts, vendors, and large-scale IT asset distribution.
This is a remote position , but candidates located in the Washington, D.C. area are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement and acquisition of information systems, software, and IT resources.
- Develop and implement strategies for IT asset management, procurement planning, and distribution .
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and agency-specific procurement policies.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Assess technical requirements for IT systems acquisitions , ensuring alignment with agency needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procurement processes, acquisition strategies, and contract performance.
- Provide expert recommendations on scalability, process improvements, and risk mitigation in IT acquisitions.
- Support high-volume and fluctuating workloads , ensuring efficiency in IT procurement and distribution.
