What You’ll Do
As our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and assigning the daily operational work of our distribution warehouse in Orlando, FL with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, relationship building, communication, strategic planning and managing people to provide an exceptional Metrie experience for our customers. This role reports to the Regional Operations Manager for the US Southeast region.

What You’ll Do
As our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and assigning the daily operational work of our distribution warehouse in Orlando, FL with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, relationship building, communication, strategic planning and managing people to provide an exceptional Metrie experience for our customers. This role reports to the Regional Operations Manager for the US Southeast region.
As our Operations Manager, we need your in-depth knowledge of operational excellence, developing teams and customer focus to:
- Lead, direct and oversee the day-to-day warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control and the maintenance of all warehouse equipment, machinery and facility
- Hire, train, onboard and supervise warehouse staff; manage schedules and workflow to ensure a productive, safe, and cost-efficient operation
- Work with Regional Ops Manager to manage budget(s); drive results to ensure the facility meets its operational KPIs and expense targets
- Oversee safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for Team Members, in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
- Ensure Metrie best practices are achieved and sustained throughout warehouse operations using LEAN practices; lead cycle count/physical inventory processes
- Partner with Ops Excellence Team on new projects, systems and process improvement while sharing results and key learnings with the greater Operations community
- Collaborate with Sales Operations Managers and regional Sales team to ensure our customers’ service and quality expectations are being met
- Identifies cost effective solutions to align with our customer segmentation model and strategic product goals
- Develop and maintain carrier relationships and evaluate and select outside vendors providing services to the operations including maintenance, facilities, equipment
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in the manufacturing, production, or distribution environment
- 3-5 years of supervisory and/or managerial experience
- Experience with the full employee lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations
- Knowledge of and experience in LEAN and business improvement processes
- Passionate about customer service and developing others
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in Spanish is a plus
- Ability to lead and manage through change and plan and execute multiple projects
- Love to learn. You are passionate about growing your knowledge and skills and being the best you can be
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP experience preferred
