What You’ll Do
Are you a dynamic, customer-focused professional with a passion for sales and operations? We’re seeking a motivated Sales and Operations Coordinator based in our Anchorage, Alaska branch to provide crucial inside sales, purchasing, logistics, and operational support for this region. This exciting role is key to delivering exceptional service to our customers and ensuring smooth operations across multiple departments.
In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to build and nurture positive relationships with customers, stay ahead of the curve on the latest products, sales procedures, and market trends, and contribute directly to the success of the sales team. You’ll work closely with the Market Manager and collaborate with both customers and team members to drive efficiency and satisfaction.
Location: This position is based out of our Anchorage, Alaska branch and will be on-site five day a week.

In adherence to the principle of pay transparency, we are pleased to disclose the base pay for this full- time position at Metrie. The base pay range for this role is set at $58,000 to $65,000. It is important to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location.

Responsibilities
Inside Sales Support
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Work closely with the Sales team as well as a liaison with the Operations team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Effectively represent Metrie’s interests when engaging with customers, the community, employees, and suppliers.
- Drive sales within our current and prospective account base.
- Resolve customer issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure that efficient purchasing processes and tools are used to synchronize market demand with supply each month.
- Analyze inventory needs based on sales trends and levels and place and receive purchase orders to maintain optimal stock and meet turnover goals.
- Work in tandem with the regional team and Purchasing Manager to insure purchasing plan supports yearly margin budgets.
- Communicate and coordinate with local dedicated, or outsourced, carriers the day-to-day shipping requirements to meet customer expectations.

- Collaborate with sales and operations to satisfy our customers’ service expectations. Communicate daily with our operations team to stay updated on warehouse capacity, any discrepancies in order fulfillment, and under minimum thresholds.
- Schedule and maintain a balanced inbound shipping schedule with the ability to prioritize the deliveries based on SKU velocity.
- You have a successful track record of collaborating with customers & team members
- You have prior sales and customer support experience.
- You have excellent organizational skills and effective time management
- You demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- You are proficient with web-based computer services such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Outlook, Excel). Prior SAP experience is an asset.
- You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- You are familiar with building industry and construction practices
- You have a “can do” attitude and approach.
