Position Overview:
The Associate Director of Contract Channel Implementation will oversee the creation and execution of strategies for trade and distribution networks, encompassing wholesale, specialty distribution, and hybrid models. This role is essential to ensuring that therapies are delivered efficiently, reliably, and securely to patients and caregivers. Key responsibilities include building relationships with distribution partners, negotiating agreements, and analyzing distribution performance to adapt to evolving market needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of product-level distribution channel strategies, ensuring alignment with patient and caregiver needs.
- Negotiate distribution service agreements with wholesalers, specialty distributors, and specialty pharmacies, ensuring compliance with company objectives and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform financial modeling and distribution analytics to drive effective decision-making.
- Evaluate and select distribution partners through RFI and RFP processes in coordination with sourcing teams.
- Monitor trading partners, identify market shifts, and adjust distribution strategies as necessary.
- Develop service-level agreements with distribution partners, focusing on data integrity and patient service expectations.
- Build strong partnerships with wholesalers, distributors, and specialty pharmacies to ensure optimal service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in market access or related fields, including 3 years in contracting.
- Minimum of 2 years in program or account management.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of trade operations, specialty pharmacy processes, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in managing distribution partner performance and adapting strategies to market trends.
- Strong leadership, project management, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with retail and specialty pharmacy operations is highly desirable.
Skills and Expertise Required:
- Expertise in specialty pharmacy and distribution channels.
- Strong technical skills in distribution analytics, financial modeling, and project management.
- Detailed knowledge of wholesalers, specialty distributors, and specialty pharmacy partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception to implementation.
- Proven track record of relationship building with distribution partners.
