Our Award-Winning Client, a well-established and growing company with a strong national presence and numerous industry accolades, is seeking a Chief Estimator with expertise in Commercial Construction. This position offers the opportunity to lead and manage a team of estimators while overseeing the estimating process for multiple commercial projects, including both new construction and remodeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a mid-sized team of estimators, overseeing all aspects of the estimating process.
- Coordinate with clients to define project scope, schedule, and specific requirements.
- Prepare detailed estimates and proposals, including schematic budgeting, design development, and value engineering ideas.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to review specifications and clarify project requirements.
- Review and analyze estimate-to-actual data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client expectations.
- Provide follow-up and clarification for scope questions to complete the sale.
- Play a key role in scaling and growing the business, ensuring profitability and strategic alignment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the commercial construction industry with strong expertise in estimating.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team of estimators, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Strong background in estimating construction costs for both new builds and remodeling projects.
- Knowledge of schematic budgeting, design development, and value engineering.
- Familiarity with negotiated contracts and client-facing interactions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
