Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics
- Valid Regular Driver License (DL) in the state of Oregon (OR)
- Completion of:
- An approved coordinated undergraduate program
- A dietetic internship
- Or an approved master’s program with qualifying work experience
- Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration (must obtain registration within 1 year)
- Licensed Dietitian (LDN) in Oregon (OR)
- Must have or be able to obtain an Oregon Food Handler, Food Manager Certification, or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
- Certified Oncology Nutrition Specialist (CONS)
- Certified Nutrition Support Specialist (CNSS)
Preferred
- Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Experience
- Three (3) years of experience in clinical or community nutrition
Overview
The Clinical Dietitian role at Our Award-Winning Client involves providing clinical nutrition support, care, and education to patients and staff. This position requires strong technical proficiency, physical agility, and the ability to respond quickly to patient care needs. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics, relevant certifications, and three years of experience in a clinical or community nutrition setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nutrition support, care, and education to patients and staff
- Proficiently operate calculator, computer, PowerPoint, telephone, copier, and fax machine
- Communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in English
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance at the assigned job location
- Perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching frequently
- Maintain adequate hearing, vision (including color vision), and fine motor skills
- Use proper body mechanics to assist patients with ambulation and transfers
- Lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
- Follow standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
- Periodically use a personal computer for documentation and reporting
Schedule and Shift Details
- 80 hours per pay period
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
