Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nutrition support, care, and information to patients and staff.
- Operate various equipment including calculators, computers, telephones, and office machinery.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
- Demonstrate physical agility to respond quickly and appropriately to patient care needs, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- Ensure proper body mechanics when assisting patients with ambulation, transferring, or moving in and out of beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
- Adhere to standard precautions due to the potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
- Communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or over the phone.
- Use a personal computer and other related tools as needed for job duties.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Valid Regular Driver’s License (DL) in the state of Oregon (OR).
- One of the following certifications:
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in Oregon (OR).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
- Physical agility and quick reaction time to respond to patient care needs.
- Adequate hearing, visual acuity (including color vision), and fine motor skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain the necessary physical capabilities for patient care assistance.
- 80 hours per pay period, working four 10-hour shifts.
