About the Role

Position Overview
The Director of Procurement Digital Solutions will define and execute the vision, strategy, and management of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) platform. While Coupa is the primary platform, experience with similar tools such as Ariba is highly valued. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership, oversight of third-party providers, and ensuring alignment between procurement technology and business objectives.
This position reports to the VP of Procurement Operations and Technology. While based in Hartford, CT, hybrid and remote options are available. Remote candidates must reside in the EST time zone and commit to monthly travel to Hartford, CT.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for S2P solutions, balancing stakeholder needs, market advancements, and organizational goals.
- Manage third-party application service providers, overseeing issue resolution, system enhancements, and release processes.
- Lead release management, including requirement gathering, testing, and stakeholder communication.
- Drive platform adoption and ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit standards, and SOX requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and strategic sourcing teams to align technology with business priorities.
- Maintain high-quality procurement data and enforce data governance standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand needs, prioritize features, and ensure technology solutions align with enterprise objectives.
- Analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Support tax solution integrations to ensure accurate sales and use tax allocations.
- Foster collaboration between Procurement Operations and Strategic Sourcing to enhance technology solutions.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in Source-to-Pay (S2P) or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, preferably in a large organization.
- Strong expertise in Coupa or Ariba platforms.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of service-based architectures, event-driven solutions, and cloud-based technologies.
- Direct experience managing Coupa or Ariba applications.
- Proven ability to oversee outsourced providers and drive successful vendor partnerships.
Professional & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities in matrixed organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and financial technology roadmaps.
- Experience driving organizational change and process improvements.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
