Position Overview
The Director of Procurement Digital Solutions will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and management of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) platform. While Coupa is the primary tool, experience with similar systems like Ariba is highly valued. This role requires collaboration with senior leadership, oversight of third-party service providers, and ensuring procurement technology aligns with broader business objectives.
Reporting to the VP of Procurement Operations and Technology, this position is based in Hartford, CT, with hybrid and remote work options available. Candidates working remotely must reside in the EST time zone and commit to monthly travel to Hartford, CT.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for S2P solutions, integrating stakeholder needs, industry advancements, and business objectives.
- Manage third-party application service providers, ensuring efficient issue resolution, system enhancements, and software release processes.
- Oversee release management, including requirements gathering, testing, and stakeholder communication.
- Drive platform adoption while ensuring compliance with procurement policies, audit standards, and SOX requirements.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and strategic sourcing teams to align procurement technology with organizational goals.
- Maintain high-quality procurement data and uphold data governance standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize system enhancements, and align technology solutions with enterprise strategy.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support tax solution integrations to ensure proper sales and use tax allocations.
- Strengthen collaboration between Procurement Operations and Strategic Sourcing to drive technology enhancements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in Source-to-Pay (S2P) or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, ideally within a large organization.
- Expertise in procurement platforms such as Coupa or Ariba.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of service-based architectures, event-driven solutions, and cloud-based technologies.
- Hands-on experience managing Coupa or Ariba applications.
- Proven ability to manage outsourced vendors and drive successful partnerships.
Professional & Interpersonal Skills
- Strategic leadership experience within a matrixed organization.
- Deep knowledge of procurement processes and financial technology strategies.
