Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Establish and implement departmental goals that align with organizational objectives.
- Enhance clinical outcomes through innovative strategies and best practices.
- Operational Oversight:
- Ensure seamless integration of technology and adherence to quality standards in patient care.
- Address and resolve patient and staff concerns to maintain a culture of excellence.
- Staff Management & Development:
- Lead recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and retention efforts.
- Foster a motivated team committed to delivering outstanding care.
- Promote ongoing professional development and evidence-based practices.
- Financial & Regulatory Compliance:
- Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets to optimize efficiency.
- Oversee internal and external audits to maintain regulatory and quality compliance.
- Expert Guidance & Support:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in obstetrical and neonatal care, providing guidance to staff and leadership.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
- Licensure:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
- Certifications:
- Required:
- AWHONN Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
