FPGA Verification Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Verification Development: Create and implement self-checking test benches using System Verilog to validate FPGA designs.
- Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to define, verify, and validate system requirements and specifications.
- Test Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans, leveraging randomized and directed tests to achieve functional coverage.
- Debugging: Work with engineering teams to troubleshoot firmware and hardware issues effectively.
- Compliance & Integration: Ensure FPGA designs meet Ethernet standards and support advanced packet processing. Integrate cryptographic algorithms for secure communication platforms.
- Verification Tools: Utilize advanced tools such as Mentor Graphics to analyze and maximize functional coverage.
- Test Components: Design test components, including sequences, agents, cover groups, scoreboards, and predictors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 6 years of experience, or
- Graduate degree with 4 years of experience, or
- 10 years of direct FPGA/ASIC verification experience in lieu of a degree.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in System Verilog, UVM/OVM methodology, and Object-Oriented Programming (e.g., C , Java).
- Extensive experience in FPGA/ASIC RTL design and functional verification.
- Deep understanding of Ethernet standards, packet processing, and cryptographic algorithms.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as AXI, SPI, and Ethernet.
- Proficiency in Linux OS and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl, Tcl).
- Proven ability to create and execute detailed verification plans, achieving critical functional metrics.
Additional Requirements
- Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance is preferred (eligibility required).
- Experience Level: Mid-Senior.
- Management Experience: Not required.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
