Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in manufacturing and production, is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee and drive quality initiatives within their state-of-the-art facility. This role ensures the highest food safety and quality standards are upheld while optimizing processes and mentoring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement food safety and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop and track department budgets while identifying and eliminating inefficiencies.
- Conduct Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) assessments to achieve quality and performance targets.
- Manage crisis situations effectively to protect company integrity and policies.
- Oversee the recruitment, performance management, and professional development of the quality team.
- Ensure compliance with SQF, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and Kosher certifications.
- Drive improvements using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodology, focusing on Quality Maintenance (QM) pillar.
- Work cross-functionally with manufacturing teams, vendors, and customers to resolve quality-related concerns.
- Provide leadership and technical support in sanitation, warehouse environments, and compliance systems.
- Communicate effectively with external manufacturing suppliers to maintain strict adherence to policies and standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5-8 years of experience in Production, Manufacturing, and Quality
- Minimum of 5 years managing a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 5 years in direct food quality/safety management, receiving, and delivery processes
- Expertise in TPM methodology with a strong focus on Quality Maintenance (QM) preferred
- Strong leadership with a proven track record of driving performance improvements
- In-depth knowledge of sanitation, compliance systems, regulatory requirements, and food safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
Work Environment & Schedule
- Onsite position
- Night Shift: 6 PM – 6 AM
- No travel required
