Lead Sonographer - Diagnostic
Our Award-Winning Client, recognized nationally for its outstanding contributions in healthcare, is seeking a Lead Sonographer in Burlington, VT. This mid-level position requires performing diagnostic ultrasounds and other related modalities across various departments. The role involves working independently under physician supervision while collaborating with peers to ensure high-quality imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of sonographers, ensuring effective operation across all work areas.
- Mentor and educate sonography staff at all levels, fostering professional development.
- Conduct diagnostic medical ultrasound exams across multiple specialties, utilizing cutting-edge ultrasound technology.
- Dedicate at least 8 hours per week to administrative tasks, including team management and scheduling.
- Participate in rotating holiday and weekend shifts, with potential for future on-call duties as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is essential.
- Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited school specializing in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a related field with extensive on-the-job ultrasound training.
- Active ARDMS registration in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular (applications welcome from candidates registered in two of these areas).
- A minimum of eight years of paid scanning experience, demonstrating expertise in ultrasound procedures.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a Level I trauma center.
- Proficiency with GE ultrasound technology, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR and Visage PACS systems for efficient workflow management.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Participation in holiday and weekend rotations is required, with varying shift times on weekends.
Relocation & Bonus Details:
- A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available, distributed in three installments during the first year of employment.
- Candidates relocating more than 50 miles are eligible for up to $9,200 in relocation assistance.
