Position Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Systems Manager to oversee and optimize maintenance systems for production and processing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, implementing preventive maintenance plans, and collaborating with operations management to enhance equipment efficiency. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage maintenance events, troubleshoot equipment issues, and oversee the Maintenance Shop.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance of production and processing equipment.
- Collaborate with Operations Management to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and resolve chronic equipment issues.
- Align maintenance activities with safety, quality, and operational efficiency objectives.
- Direct and oversee daily activities of Mechanical/Electrical Resources, including task assignments, training, and operational support.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders and repair budgets.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of maintenance-related materials in partnership with MRO/Stockroom personnel.
- Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies, and lead the development of robust safety programs.
- Support company production system initiatives and maintain the organization and cleanliness of maintenance-related areas.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining and operating manufacturing equipment, with a strong electrical background.
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley software, including RS Logix 5000, PLC 5, SLC 500, and Factory Talk View Software.
- Familiarity with Siemens and Sick Safety PLCs.
- Experience with control devices, instrumentation, preventive/predictive maintenance systems, and CMMS.
- Strong organizational skills to develop and execute effective planning and scheduling systems.
- Proven leadership skills to manage Mechanical/Electrical Resources effectively.
- Excellent communication abilities with a demonstrated ability to empower and motivate employees.
