Position Overview

Key ResponsibilitiesCo-worker Relations
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee relations and promote a supportive work environment.
- Investigate and resolve concerns related to working conditions, grievances, disciplinary actions, and appeals.
- Establish goals and objectives for co-worker relations that align with organizational values.
HR Leadership and Talent Management
- Assess staffing and recruitment needs; implement best practices for hiring, onboarding, and retention.
- Oversee recruitment efforts, including advertising and outreach strategies.
- Update orientation programs and provide training for directors and managers on HR policies and practices.
Policy Development and Compliance
- Lead the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures that align with strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
- Review and recommend actions for employee evaluations, promotions, disciplinary measures, and terminations.
Employee Development and Training
- Supervise and guide staff in designing training programs to boost productivity and skill development.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish and oversee an in-service educational assistance program for employees.
Union Relations
- Leverage prior experience to manage labor relations, union negotiations, and collective bargaining agreements effectively.
Operational Management
- Prepare and manage the HR department’s budget.
- Develop and present routine and special reports for senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Healthcare Experience: Proven track record of working in a healthcare environment.
- Union Experience: Demonstrated success in managing union relations and negotiations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Relations, or Human Resources from an accredited institution.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certifications: SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Advanced Education: Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
