Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in the mining and metals industry, is seeking an accomplished Technical Services Manager with a strong background in Lean manufacturing. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating process waste, implementing Lean methodologies, and fostering a culture of operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Toyota Production System (TPS) or Alcoa Business System (ABS) principles and possess exceptional leadership skills to coach both management and operators effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives, identifying and eliminating inefficiencies across operations.
- Implement and sustain TPS or ABS methodologies, embedding continuous improvement practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide hands-on coaching to management and frontline staff on Lean principles, driving cultural transformation.
- Develop and execute process improvement strategies that reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Oversee performance metrics and reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Support and promote a culture of safety, quality, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Manage and coordinate technical service projects, ensuring on-time delivery and successful execution.
- Facilitate training programs to enhance staff capabilities in Lean principles and problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with internal departments to implement best practices and streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience: 7–10 years in technical services, manufacturing, or production management roles.
- Proven expertise in Lean manufacturing, with a strong understanding of TPS or ABS.
- Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement initiatives and reducing process waste.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret operational data to drive improvements.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to coach and influence at all organizational levels.
- Management Experience: Required.
