What are the responsibilities and job description for the Street Construction Foreman position at Metro Construction?

The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Manage a 3–6-person crew
- Lead crew in dirt, grading, and street work
- Work around underground utilities
- Coordinate trucking schedule with management
- Operate heavy equipment, which includes GPS dozers, skid loaders, excavator, and/or roller while leading your crew
- Perform and train the essential job functions for any position on the crew
- Identify, report and correct hazards
- Plan daily work from the project's schedule and execute accordingly
- Possess knowledge and understanding of production schedules
- Have knowledge of proper sequence of activities to avoid production slow down and errors
- Ensure crew’s safety
- Execute work in accordance with plans and specifications
- Follow directions from owners and customers
- Read blueprints
- Keep a detailed record of all activities performed on a given day
- Be Self-motivated and have a team player attitude
