Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our general dentistry team. The ideal candidate will support the dentist in delivering high-quality dental care, ensuring a positive patient experience, and maintaining an organized and efficient clinical environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, endodontic, and surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for treatment by seating them, reviewing their medical history, and providing them with information on the procedure.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as prescribed.
- Perform impressions, provisional crown fabrication, and other lab tasks as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Administrative Duties
- Record and update patient records accurately, including treatment notes and medical history.
- Ensure inventory of clinical supplies is maintained and submit supply orders when necessary.
- Collaborate with the front office staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Radiology certification (as required by state law).
- Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Experience:
- Dental assisting: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- X-Ray Certification (Required)
