Position Summary:
The Grant Manager is responsible for identifying, securing, and managing funding opportunities from private, government, and corporate entities to support the Sexual Assault Crisis Center’s programs and services. This role will oversee all aspects of grant application processes, including researching potential funding sources, writing and submitting proposals, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and managing ongoing relationships with funders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Research and Identification:
  • Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, private foundations, corporate partners, and other funding organizations.
  • Maintain a database of funding sources and monitor trends in funding relevant to sexual assault prevention and crisis response services.
  • Grant Writing and Proposal Submission:
  • Write compelling and clear grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents, in alignment with the center’s mission and programs.
  • Ensure proposals are tailored to the specific requirements of funders, addressing all guidelines and criteria.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications within deadlines.
  • Grant Management and Compliance:
  • Track the status of active grant applications and ensure timely reporting to funders.
  • Oversee compliance with funder guidelines, ensuring proper documentation and reporting of grant outcomes and expenditures.
  • Work with finance and program staff to ensure that funds are used according to grant specifications.
  • Fund Reporting and Evaluation:
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to funders, including financial reports, performance outcomes, and impact assessments.
  • Collaborate with program staff to collect data and evaluate the effectiveness of funded projects and services.
  • Ensure that all required documentation, both financial and programmatic, is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Donor and Funder Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with current and potential funders, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Communicate effectively with funders about project progress, successes, challenges, and funding needs.
  • Represent the center at meetings and events related to funding opportunities and partnership development.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Assistant Director, and other staff members to ensure funding needs are clearly communicated and accurately reflected in proposals.
  • Assist in developing funding strategies that align with the center’s long-term sustainability goals.
  • Training and Capacity Building:
  • Stay updated on best practices in grant management, nonprofit funding, and sexual assault advocacy services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, social work, public administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing and management, preferably in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on sexual assault services or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and managing grants from diverse funding sources.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and reporting standards for various funding entities (government, foundations, corporate partners).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to write clear, persuasive, and accurate grant proposals.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of sexual assault crisis services, victim advocacy, and related social issues is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant management software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, with occasional travel for meetings and events.
  • Flexibility in work hours as required for special projects, events, or meetings with funders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
