JOB SUMMARY: Metro Engineering Solutions, LLC ("MES") is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join our team! MES is a multifaceted utility and telecommunications engineering firm serving clients throughout the Midwest. The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust quality management systems (QMS) to ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality standards. This role involves implementing inspections, driving continuous improvement initiatives, conducting design reviews, and fostering a culture of quality and compliance throughout the organization.

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) that define clear quality requirements and align with industry standards and client specifications.
- Establish measurable quality standards based on project objectives, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough design reviews at various stages to identify potential flaws and address them prior to delivery.
- Ensure compliance with defined standards during all design review processes.
- Perform regular quality control inspections and tests throughout the project lifecycle to identify and address deviations promptly.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues using methodologies such as 8D problem-solving.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, including process efficiency and defect rates, using data analysis tools.
- Promote continuous improvement by fostering a culture where team members actively identify and implement process enhancements.
- Engage stakeholders, including clients and relevant parties, in the quality management process to ensure alignment with expectations.
- Provide training and awareness to team members on quality standards, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with telecommunications and utilities industry standards, including ISO and other relevant frameworks.
- Manage quality planning activities, including risk management and compliance reviews, while maintaining detailed documentation and records of quality inspections, corrective actions, and compliance reviews to ensure traceability and future reference.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and project management, to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in telecommunications or utilities.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, such as SPC, MSA, and FMEA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD or similar software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with quality management systems in the utilities and telecommunications sectors.
- Certifications in FMEA, SPC, or MSA from relevant industry organizations.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).
- Primarily work in an office setting.
- Ability to travel to project sites and/or work in the field as needed.
- Interpret sketches, drawings, and project specifications.
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
