The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing parts, analyzing market trends, and managing purchased inventory. Additionally, you will analyze and evaluate significant purchasing opportunities and inventory packages. Our ideal candidate will enjoy working in fast-paced environment and is a team player.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate the distribution of all materials to the appropriate project, in the time required, and at the minimum cost without any delay to the projects.
- Monitor inventory turn rates and net profitability.
- Perform the acquisition and management of all materials, tools, supplies and equipment (rentals or purchase) so that adequate inventory / supply is maintained, orders are consolidated, materials and freight costs are minimized and vendor relations continue to improve.
- Prepare Purchase Orders for all acquisitions of materials and services, keep accurate documentation to support every PO and its future payment.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand priorities, schedules, and plans to meet their material requirements while ensuring that each department operates according to the company's production procedures and regulations.
- Determine items for inventory, maintain inventory, including minimum order quantities, maximum order quantities, reorder points, in order to maximize discounts, while minimizing freight and carrying costs.
- Negotiate payment terms with vendors.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
- Coordinate all shipping and receiving to ensure accuracy, cost effectiveness, correct material handling and storage, and proper record keeping.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
