Summary :

Serves as the clinical informatics expert regarding workflows and documentation requirements for assigned clinical area(s). Evaluates clinical workflows / processes, and designs technical solutions to optimize system usability, address regulatory requirements, and promote Meaningful Use. Serves as a liaison between clinical and technical disciplines. Supports system adoption efforts. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to enhance existing clinical systems, and / or implement new clinical systems. Adheres to all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications : Required :

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN), Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
• 3 years of clinical and / or operational experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
• 2 years of experience working with clinical computer systems.
• Knowledge of clinical best practices, operations, policies, procedures, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and analytical aptitude.
• Ability to translate workflows and practice standards into an electronic environment.
• Ability to collaborate with project and / or interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.).
• Access to reliable transportation to travel to different sites within The MetroHealth System.
• Ability to work in assigned area(s) and any other location based on operational or training needs.
