POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with/for the Director of Clinical Informatics to enhance utilization of clinical technology and to provide support through the development of tools, resources and processes within our clinical applications. This position will review/analyze use of current electronic clinical systems within the Company, find and suggest new and improved ways to meet business objectives, implement changes as they are approved, and measure the success of improvements once in place while maintaining established standards of practice set forth by the Company’s administration and information technology (IT) Policies and Procedures. This position is an in-office position located in our Community Support and Development Office in Beachwood, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews existing clinical IT systems at the Company, finds inefficiencies in those systems and recommend improvements.
- Provides teaching and training to team members in a variety of ways including one-on-one as well as small and large group sessions, while using in-person and web-based methods.
- Tests systems and document accuracy, effectiveness, return on investment, and any other measure deemed necessary to show a system’s ability to meet the stated business goals.
- Works with developers to help them understand the clinical information systems' complete requirements and all the corresponding technical, functional, and operational aspects.
- Oversees system development, assign tasks, and supervises the progress of those activities.
- Measures development progress to ensure that it is in sync with documented and approved technical and functional requirements and all planned deadlines.
- Travel as needed to support training programs, employee development initiatives, and organizational needs at various Saber locations.
Education/Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science/IT or a bachelor’s degree in another field with years of experience working with information systems in a business environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using computer-aided software engineering tools and applications.
- A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience analyzing large amounts of data to find undiscovered patterns or knowledge applied to further systems development and improvement.
- Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite of tools including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Ability to communicate in a positive manner, with tact, professionally, and efficiently with communities, management, agencies as well as other members of the Company.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to various Saber locations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
Experience:
- Three (3) or more years of experience working with information systems in a business environment and/or other related technological/skilled nursing experience.
- LTC experience preferred.
