Metro Infectious Disease Consultant is seeking a Medical Scribe to work full-time in the clinic located in Chicago, IL. This person will be responsible for maintaining patient medical records while working directly with Physicians and providers in a clinic setting.
Primary Location: 2919 West Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60618
This scribe must be willing to travel locally to other clinics within the Chicagoland area
Responsibilities
Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system (Cerner)
Working with a supervising Physician or Provider to complete and submit medical records
Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for the Physician
Communicating with patients and supervising Physicians professionally
Completing all administrative tasks efficiently
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma
At least one year of office practice experience, preferably in a medical office setting
Knowledge of medical terminology
Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
