What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Scribe position at Metro Infusion Center?
Metro Infectious Disease Consultant is seeking a Medical Scribe to work full-time in the clinic located in Chicago, IL. This person will be responsible for maintaining patient medical records while working directly with Physicians and providers in a clinic setting.

- This scribe must be willing to travel locally to other clinics within the Chicagoland area
- Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system (Cerner)
- Working with a supervising Physician or Provider to complete and submit medical records
- Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for the Physician
- Communicating with patients and supervising Physicians professionally
- Completing all administrative tasks efficiently
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma
- At least one year of office practice experience, preferably in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19
