What are the responsibilities and job description for the Services Tech position at Metro Mechanical Inc?
Responsibilities:
Diagnose HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup.
Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
Trouble HVAC Equipment
Repair and replace HVAC systems
Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units
Disassemble and reassemble residential equipment to perform trouble shooting
and preventative maintenance.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
Complete documents to verify work performed in a legible manner Operate a commercial vehicle
Provides and explain technical support to customers
Work a rotating on call nights and week-ends when assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
1-5 years Commercial HVAC experience.
EPA certification
Ability to lift, carry, pull and push components/equipment up to 50 pounds.
Work flexible hours as required.
Ability to interpret and follow construction plans and specifications for proper installation and repair.
Must have valid Refrigerant Certificate for the state of Texas.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
