Position : FINANCIAL ANALYST
Salary : $62,837 - $71,708

Under general supervision, to perform professional accounting work in preparation and maintenance of financial and accounting records; monitor and coordinate financial procedures as necessary; and to do related work as required

Typical Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs daily balancing procedure for financial system, responsible for maintaining balanced books in all companies;
- Analyzes general ledger and expense accounts;
- Prepares various financial and statistical reports;
- Reconciles Bank accounts;
- Reconciles and analyzes a variety of control and subsidiary accounts;
- Prepares journal entries and cash receipts;
- Establishes and maintains vendor files;
- Maintains contracts and purchase orders;
- Provides data for internal and external audits;
- Maintains fixed asset system for agency including depreciation schedules;
- Processes payments for disbursing account and housing voucher program account including transmission of files to bank;
- Reviews and processes procurement card transactions from other departments.
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Prior experience with accounts payable, tenant accounting, and preparing financial reports. Experience with Yardi Accounting software and Payroll software preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Behavioral Skills :
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, willingness and mental ability to perform duties involved in this classification.
Technical Skills :
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures; ability to prepare and analyze accounting reports; proficient with Microsoft Office.
Physical Skills :
Ability to perform work with or without an accommodation that requires sitting, standing and walking, dexterity of hands and clarity of vision, speech and hearing and powers of observation; other physical duties as required.
Financial Skills :
To perform professional accounting work in preparation and maintenance of financial and accounting records; monitor and coordinate financial procedures.
