JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Business Development - Retail Industry to join our team. Reporting to our Chief Retail Business Leader, the ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding business opportunities specifically within the retail sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the retail industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales and business development.


Manager, Business Development - Retail Industry Qualifications:

  • 10 years of Retail Loss Prevention Experience preferred
  • 10 years of internal client relations, piers, human resources, finance, and operations preferred
  • 5 years of Business Development experience, preferably in the retail industry preferred
  • 5 years of Sales experience with a focus on retail clients preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred (or LPC, CFI, CPP)
  • Willingness to travel within the designated region as required
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process and continuously meet any applicable state, county, and municipal requirements.


Manager, Business Development - Retail Industry Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Retail Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify growth opportunities, retail trends, and competitive threats within the region.
  • Retail-Focused Business Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales and business strategies tailored to the retail sector to expand market share and achieve revenue targets.
  • Retail Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, understanding their specific needs and providing tailored loss prevention and security solutions.
  • New Business Development in Retail: Identify and pursue new retail business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and industry events.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment and support for retail-focused business development initiatives.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports and analyses on sales performance, retail market trends, and business development activities. Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies and maximize results.
