Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the food department staff, ensuring efficient operations and high levels of customer service.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of food products.
- Implement pricing strategies to ensure competitive market positioning while maximizing profitability.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring all food products are handled properly.
- Train and develop team members on best practices in food handling, customer service, and store management.
- Communicate effectively with team members to foster a positive work environment and address any operational challenges.
- Monitor sales trends and adjust product offerings based on customer preferences and market demands.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall store performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in grocery store management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with customers.
