Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the MHE Operator is responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks using a Radio Frequency (RF) Scanner and various material handling equipment. Working as part of a team follows best practice processes to ensure customer service is efficient and provides accurate, good quality and on-time order fulfillment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The material handler plays an important role in achieving customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) which include productivity, accuracy and service level.
- Communicate and work with other team members to ensure proper movement of materials throughout the warehouse.
- Responsible for the handling of product for various operational processes including; receiving, order picking, shipping and inventory control.
- This role requires the use of material handling equipment and Radio Frequency (RF) technology.
- Execute all tasks following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent work methods are used to achieve desired customer service levels.
- Completes material handling tasks as presented on the RF, scanning where possible avoiding manual keying.
- Participates in inventory activities including physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Moves empty pallets depositing them at the designated pallet holding location.
- Keeps the warehouse clean, orderly and free from obstructions with all debris placed in proper containers or designated areas.
- Operates equipment and completes tasks in a manner consistent with company health & safety policies.
- Demonstrates respect for the organization’s values, while maintaining and upholding company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years warehouse experience, with a minimum of (1) one-year operating material handling equipment (MHE) and a proven track record for safety.
- Previous experience with RF based Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Red Prairie.

EDUCATION
- Completion of secondary school diploma preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
- One or a combination of the following equipment experience and certification; Raymond Reach, Dock Stocker, Counter Balance and/or Walkie. (MHE is site specific)
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Able to commit to a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekends when required.
- Works 100% of their time on the warehouse floor walking, standing and bending.
- Able to lift repetitively on average up to 50 lbs safely.
- Recognize hours of work may change.
Rate of pay: $23.00/hr. shift differential if applicable.
All shifts
1st: 5:00 am-1:30 pm
2nd: 1:00 pm- 9:30 pm
3rd: 9:00 pm- 5:30 am
