What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Electrician 3rd4th Yr position at Metro Tech Electric?
Metro Tech Electric Inc. is seeking experienced 3rd and 4th Year Electrical Apprentices to join our rapidly growing team. The successful Apprentice Electrician will be responsible for learning and understanding electrical code through the NEC; Assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing electrical equipment in commercial and industrial settings; and maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
Minimum Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 Years of Age
- Verified 4,000hrs as an Electrical Apprentice
EA3 – Electrical Apprentice, Level 3 _
Meet all Essential Functions of EA1 & EA2
Perform 3 Point Saddle, & Back-to-Back conduit bends with hand benders.
Terminate junction boxes.
Install conduit Branch.
Install conduit Feeder.
Fixture connections
Underground rough in materials
Underground rough in methods
Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, & lift trucks in a safe manner.
Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics of same.
Operate and mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).
Minimum of 4,000 hrs. On-the-Job Training / Verifiable Hours
Maintains compliance with company policies.
Maintains compliance with all OSHA, Company, and customer-specific safety requirements.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
EA4 – Electrical Apprentice, Level 4
Meet all Essential Functions of EA1, EA2, & EA3
Minimum of 6,000 hrs. On-the-Job Training / Verifiable Hours
Perform 4 Point Saddle, & Kick conduit bends with hand benders.
Basic blueprint knowledge
Layout from field sketches
Panel terminations
Size conduit and boxes
Underground layout and rough in
Read and interpret instructional manuals and specifications
Maintains compliance with company policies.
Maintains compliance with all OSHA, Company, and customer-specific safety requirements.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
