What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Plannner position at Metro Water Recovery?
Plans and coordinates the resources to accomplish equipment repairs and all maintenance work performed by maintenance staff, including scheduling and requisitioning of parts. Provides lead technical support and analysis for Metro’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Works under the direction of the Maintenance Program Manager. Typical Duties:

- Develops a detailed plan of action, bill of materials, list of tools and permits, to coordinate the repair of all identified work to be completed by Maintenance. Determines by craft estimated times to complete the assignment of work, and coordinates with other divisions the schedule of assigned work.
- Uses CMMS to plan work for Maintenance crews. Performs CMMS systems administration duties and coordinates its use and training with staff.
- Reviews, develops, and recommends changes to preventive and corrective maintenance, predictive maintenance, and lubrication programs. Recommends and evaluates new equipment.
- Conducts equipment evaluations, performs cost/benefit analyses, and makes recommendations. Coordinates equipment removal and installation with contractors and other Metro departments during work on new installations and modifications to existing Metro facilities.
- Recommends and assists with updates, changes, and establishment of blueprints, schematics, and equipment O&M manuals.
- Develop scopes of work for maintenance service contracts and evaluate proposals and bids. Manages maintenance service contracts to ensure work is performed as specified prior to payment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
- Water/Wastewater treatment plant or similar industrial facility processes which operate under state/federal regulations, safety practices, and limit or prevent equipment downtime
