Job Summary:
MetroCare of Springfield is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with internal policies, state and federal regulations, and industry best practices. The QA Specialist will be responsible for file and process reviews, weekly reporting, corrective action plans, and overall quality improvement initiatives to maintain the highest level of service in our healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine audits and reviews of client and employee files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans in response to audit findings or operational deficiencies.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures to support continuous quality improvement.
- Facilitate staff training and education on quality standards, compliance, and best practices.
- Collaborate with different departments to resolve compliance issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Perform incident investigations and follow-up to ensure corrective measures are implemented effectively.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up to date on state and federal healthcare regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Support accreditation and licensing processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or quality assurance role.
- Adult Foster Care (AFC) or Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) experience highly preferred.
- Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
