Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position oversees the York Facility as a whole and supervises and manages the management/directors for the facility.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Farm leader to lead our greenhouse operations at a high-volume live goods production farm. As the Farm Leader, you will drive profitability and ensure optimal performance across production, quality, maintenance, and distribution. You will be responsible for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the operation, leading a team to achieve excellence in safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all greenhouse operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and inventory management.
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve operational and financial goals.
- Own the P&L and drive initiatives to maximize profitability and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to optimize output.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and analyze financial performance.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and revenue growth.
- Oversee quality assurance and ensure products consistently meet customer standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in greenhouse management or a similar production environment.
- Proven track record of P&L ownership and delivering strong financial results.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Business Administration or a related field.

Job Setting & Physical Demands
This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to driving the scooter. Must have the ability to consistently lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
