KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Convert AutoCAD files into .dxf files.
Use various software to create .cnc files and nest cuts to fit the size of the material that will be used by the machine.
Provides supporting paperwork for the project being worked on such as cut lists, type and amount of materials needed for the project, and barcodes to be used by router operators to log time spent on project.
Assists with other projects as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic
Design — Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Engineering and Technology — Be able to apply principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Prior experience in a manufacturing plant utilizing CNC Machines
Vocational school or 1-3 years of related exp preferred.
Knowledgeable with AutoCAD programs
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :
Must be able to quality inspect, deburr, and label all parts as needed.
Must be able to maintain and clean machinery as needed daily.
Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.
Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.
Check to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate the telephone, type and operate computer and mouse.
The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck.
The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
