Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Movers to join our team. As a Mover, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' belongings are transported safely and efficiently. This position requires physical stamina, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. You will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading items while providing exceptional service to our customers.
Duties
- Load and unload items from trucks or vans with care and efficiency.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist in packing and securing items for transport to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any special instructions.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for moving heavy items as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the vehicle and at job sites.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of moving tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in moving, delivery driving, or courier services is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- Experience with route driving and navigating various locations efficiently is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
