The Executive Director manages community non-credit offerings through a unique community development model, overseeing programs, including but not limited to: College for Kids/Teens, Bootcamps, STEM, Senior, Makerspace, Technology, Arts, Wellnesses programs. This position oversees Express Centers, which offer innovative community centric programs. The Executive Director is responsible for project management, program administration, strategic planning, new course development, partner development, and community engagement. In addition, this position implements and evaluates financial and operational standard operating procedures.
Division Description:
The CWE division offers a wide variety of non-credit classes, courses, seminars, and training for the community. These offerings are focused on revitalizing careers, upgrading skills and credentials, growing businesses, and pursuing pastimes and passions. Additionally, the CWE is constantly developing and delivering educational classes and programs for Omaha and surrounding area businesses, organizations, and individuals.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides leadership and oversight for the division; Community and Workforce Education, Operations and Compliance; with department-wide planning and program development that aligns with the mission, goals and objectives of the college and division.
2. Develops and executes a creative entrepreneurial programming strategy through market research and community partnerships.
3. Provides administrative leadership and oversight within the division; promoting effectiveness efficiency, cooperation, coordination and communication among departments and all constituencies.
4. Promotes growth and development of contract and community education and noncredit programs that meet the regional and local demands of the community and partner agencies.
5. Develops and maintains an effective enrollment and revenue tracking system to assure the productive performance of the programs and departmental units.
6. Develops quarterly and annual reports and uses data analytics to inform and update stakeholders on progress towards enrollment, gross and net revenue generation, and program quality.
7. Develops and maintains quality assurance standards to ensure all credentials and educational programs are in keeping with best practices with state, federal and Higher Learning Commission guidelines.
8. Leads creative program development, growing enrollment by building new programs and seeking grant opportunities.
9. Works with program teams, developing and deploying marketing strategies and materials that support programs and provide internal and external community and student awareness of programs.
10. Works with program teams to resolve student, instructor, and staff concerns to facilitate communication between and among concerned parties to resolve conflicts expeditiously.
11. Ensures the delivery of quality professional enrichment courses, customized courses, events and comprehensive educational services to business, industry, government agencies, and community members.
12. Attends work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Extensive knowledge of communication strategies, public relations, and media relations; experience in digital marketing, content strategy, and brand management preferred.
2. Engagement skills; to build and maintain relationships and partnerships demands customer services skills, and marketing skills.
3. Proficient in managing internal and external communications, with demonstrated experience in community outreach and stakeholder engagement.
4. Strategic thinking skills with details pertaining to program challenges, contribution of ideas, vision and goal setting and college growth within the division.
5. Demonstrated expertise in budget development and fiscal management within a communications or marketing environment.
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with learning management systems (LMS), social media management tools, and other college-supported platforms.
7. Exceptional communication skills, including writing, editing, and public speaking, with a strong ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
8. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
10. Proven ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism, maintaining patience and a positive attitude.
11. Ability to set clear objectives, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
12. Ability to be agile and flex to the evolving needs of internal and external constituents, community, and changes in the labor market.
13. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
14. Physical ability to exert up to 10 pounds occasionally, including moving materials and setting up for events.
15. Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.

Required Qualification
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education or any industry/field preferred with five (5) years of related work experience in community college administration, budgeting/fiscal and enrollment management.

Experience in higher education especially regarding issues related to student supports, workforce development, low-income, and first-generation college populations.

Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary/Hourly Rate $77,799 minimum Department Community Programming
