Preferred Qualifications
This position assists students, faculty, staff, and other patrons in using College library print and online resources to locate appropriate information and materials. Teaches patrons how to use various online computer databases and how to search the Internet and to use software programs such as MS Office. Assists the Library Supervisor in daily operation of the library.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

1. Instructs patrons in using online library catalogs and databases to locate desired information.
2. Answers reference questions and provides other assistance to patrons.
3. Checks material in and out, updates patron records.
4. Handles intra-campus and interlibrary loan requests.
5. Maintains various library records and statistics.
6. Responsible for library operations in absence of Supervisor.
7. Intermittent guidance of work-study students.
8. Assists in maintaining the environment of the library.
9. Operates and performs basic cleaning and maintenance of audiovisual equipment.
10. Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.
11. Other duties as assigned.

2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Window software and skill in operating a computer.
