MDC is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Coordinator to lead our marketing efforts, enhance community engagement, and strengthen our public presence. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns, managing social media channels, assisting with public relations efforts, and promoting community engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a passion for storytelling, brand building, and social impact. Anticipated start date is May 1st.
Social Media Management & Marketing:
- Develop and execute content strategies for MDC’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
- Create engaging posts, graphics, and videos to highlight MDC’s programs, events, and community impact.
- Monitor social media analytics and adjust strategies to enhance engagement and reach.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns to maximize visibility and audience growth.
Campaign Planning & Execution:
- Plan and implement marketing campaigns to promote MDC programs, fundraising initiatives, and events.
- Develop marketing materials, including the Annual Report, brochures, newsletters, press releases, and digital content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across all communications.
- Track and report on campaign performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Public Relations Assistance:
- Assist in writing press releases and coordinating media outreach to increase MDC’s visibility.
- Maintain relationships with local media outlets, community organizations, and stakeholders.
- Support event promotion efforts, including securing media coverage and coordinating interviews.
Community Engagement & Promotion:
- Work closely with community partners to strengthen MDC’s presence in Tacoma and surrounding areas.
- Conduct focus groups and act as a community building liaison.
- Develop outreach strategies to engage the public and encourage participation in MDC programs.
- Represent MDC at community events, networking opportunities, and public forums.
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm
Compensation & Benefits:
- $60000 - 65000/year

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1 years of experience in marketing, social media management, public relations, or a related role.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling content.
- Experience with social media platforms, analytics tools, and digital marketing strategies.
- Graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Passion for community development and social impact work.
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
